The AFP Foundation works in partnership with the European Journalism Centre and others on training projects for journalists and other media specialists around the world.
We will contribute to research on the media with Medill School of Journalism in Chicago and others.
We support the work of The Committee to Protect Journalists, The Rory Peck Trust and other organisations to safeguard the lives of reporters and photographers around the world and we will cooperate with them wherever possible.
We support the work of the Dart Centre for Journalism and Trauma to educate and support journalists in the reporting of traumatic events and their psychological impact.
We will support efforts to elevate the status of women in the news media.

Training for journalism teachers in Kosovo
The AFP Foundation organised a four-week training workshop from November 5 to December 2, 2007, at the new Kosovo Media Institute in Pristina.
Reporting development goals in Syria
In August, we ran a workshop for 40 reporters and photographers in Syria on covering the country's development challenges.
