Rules for entry
a.Applicants must be professional journalists working in the Asia-Pacific region and the author of the submitted material.
b.Entries should be a single piece of work (text, photo, video or radio report) produced while operating in dangerous or difficult circumstances, and showing outstanding quality, great originality, promise or courage, in line with the example shown by Kate Webb's professional life.
c.The material must have been published within the 12 months previous to closing date for applications.
d.Applicants must certify that they are the only copyright holder or have been authorized by the copyright holder to submit the material. They must also certify that no third party can claim rights or raise objections to publication of the material they submit.
e.The AFP Foundation intends to publish the winning entry on its website and in other forms it chooses, without remuneration, and reserves the right to similarly publish other entries at any time in the 12 months after the award is announced.
f.Work submitted will not be returned to the applicant, unless expressly requested.
g.Entries should be submitted either in English, or with a translation from the original into English certified as authentic by the applicant's senior editor.
